The Master and Margarita

The great and eternal novel of the writer has undergone numerous bans on publication and persecution, no less than the fate of the novel about Pontius Pilate himself, the Master.

It was first published in 1966 with cuts in a magazine version, and the full text of the novel was only published in the 1980s.

Before its official publication, it was circulated in hand-typed copies and immediately gained incredible popularity and love from readers.

A spectacular satire on the life and morals of Moscow in the 1930s, simultaneously a poignant love story of the Master and Margarita, and the eternal biblical theme of the struggle between good and evil, a novel about Pontius Pilate within the novel - these are by no means all the layers of this genius work by Mikhail Bulgakov.
