Dante's Code

An American writer gains access to the original manuscript of Dante, hidden in the secret archives of the Vatican's apostolic library. Almost immediately, it becomes clear that this is not just a find for a researcher: the artifact is being watched by literary scholars, black market art dealers, and people from the criminal underworld. The hero begins his own investigation and delves deeper into a dangerous chain of deals, pursuits, and hidden interests. Meanwhile, the storyline of Dante Alighieri in 14th century Italy unfolds, and this dual movement gives the plot a special tension: the past directly interferes with the present.
