«The “Pumpkin Lantern” Restaurant» — a teenage fantasy with mysticism, a family secret, and a story about a girl who is frightened not only by gossip but also by her own surname. The quiet English Lostshire, with its old cottages, green hills, and a small family restaurant, quickly ceases to seem like a safe place. Alongside the coziness, there are rumors of a cursed lineage, and a broken lantern and an old photograph become part of a larger mystery. At the center of the plot — Amanda Feltram, the last of a family where disappearances have long been a terrifying omen, and the feeling of impending doom for her is no longer superstition but a personal threat.
After the hurricane, the girl is left without her main support: her grandmother Lydia disappears without a trace. Almost immediately, rumors about the Feltram curse spread again in Lostshire, and items found near the restaurant link the current misfortune to the family's past. Together with her friends, the heroine takes on the investigation to understand what lies behind the long-standing disappearances, whom she can trust, and how to break free from a story that seems to repeat itself in the same cycle.
- Amanda Feltram — a young heroine for whom family legend suddenly becomes reality. She lives in Lostshire, helps run the «Pumpkin Lantern», and tries to maintain her composure when the familiar order collapses.
- Lydia Feltram — the grandmother of the main heroine and co-owner of the restaurant. Her disappearance triggers the investigation and revives old rumors about the family.
- Amanda's friends participate in the search and support her at the moment when the family's past begins to increasingly influence the present.
This is a teenage fantasy with elements of mysticism, adventure, and family drama. The plot revolves around disappearances, rumors of a curse, and alarming discoveries, so the text contains potentially frightening episodes, but the main focus remains on the heroine's experiences and her attempts to make sense of the past. The style is aimed at a teenage audience: emotions, a sense of mystery, and a gradual build-up of tension against the backdrop of cozy, almost autumnal Lostshire play an important role.
