Soviet Communal Apartments

Communal apartments are perhaps one of the brightest legacies of the Soviet Union. Some remember them with horror, while others with warmth and nostalgia. Carefree childhood, youth behind a thin curtain, adulthood in a shared kitchen, and old age on a bench by the entrance. What experiences and fears, hopes, desires, and dreams do those recall who spent years within the walls of communal apartments? Let's listen to their voices. Alex Gromov's book provides such an opportunity. After all, the author invites the reader to get acquainted with the thoughts and feelings of people who lived in communal apartments!
