Frank Herbert (1920-1986) – an American science fiction writer, author of the famous science fiction saga "Dune Chronicles," translated into dozens of languages and having won millions of fans worldwide. However, the creative legacy of the author is not limited to this celebrated epic; he created many other works in the sci-fi genre, which are deservedly loved by readers. This collection includes the novels "The God Makers," "The Eyes of Heisenberg," and "Heavenly Creators." In early childhood, unclouded by knowledge of the transience of existence, life seems beautiful and endless, but later, when a person becomes aware of their mortality, sadness and anxiety settle in their heart. And they begin to dream of immortality… For hundreds of years, sorcerers, alchemists, and scientists have struggled with the task of prolonging life, perfect health, and eternal youth. Each new generation lives in hope that it will finally exceed the established limit of a pitiful hundred years. Frank Herbert, no less fascinated by the idea of immortality, tried to imagine what would happen if the efforts of scientists were indeed crowned with success, and whether there will be anything human left in people when the sword of Damocles "Memento mori" stops hanging over their heads.
