Pollyanna: The First Glad Book. Pollyanna Grows Up: The Second Glad Book

Everyone goes through tough times, but one should not fall into the depths of despair. Take a cue from Pollyanna, the main character of the eponymous novel by Eleanor Porter. Pollyanna's main life principle is to find something good in everything. The girl's father, a missionary, taught her this game of 'joy,' and in turn, Pollyanna introduced the game to everyone she met on her life's journey. Unquenchable optimism, kindness, and a love for life helped the girl endure all hardships and additionally make the lives of those around her happier.
