CAUTION! TOXIC RELATIONSHIPS!
Can murder be in the blood?
When a woman named Olivia mysteriously disappears in a sleepy corner of Devon, it shocks all the residents. This has never happened here before. But the news hit local veterinarian Jenny Johnson the hardest…
Jenny did not have a happy childhood. Her father – a famous serial killer known as the Buttercup Killer due to his habit of leaving this type of butterfly on the bodies of his victims. Now daddy is serving a life sentence behind high prison walls. And Jenny has been trying to escape from herself and her past all her life. She changed her name, place of residence, got married, had children, and never told anyone who her father was. She was afraid people would think she inherited his wicked genes… Also, recently the woman has been suffering from memory lapses. She has no idea where she goes and what she does during those hours…
And now Olivia is missing. The woman with whom Jenny's husband had an affair. And this horrifically resembles the crimes that the Buttercup Killer committed many years ago…
But she's not her father, right?
Or is there actually a killer gene – and it's inside her?...
