Schindler's List

«Whoever saves one life saves the world entire» — these words from the Talmud were inscribed by prisoners on the ring they gave to their savior — Oskar Schindler. A man who saved over a thousand people from a martyr's death. «A German bon vivant, a shrewd businessman, a charming personality full of contradictions» — this is how Kenelly writes about his hero. Yes, Oskar Schindler was not a saint, but he became — Righteous Among the Nations. He is remembered not only by those who owe him their lives, not only by their children and grandchildren — there is no one in the world who has not heard this name and does not bow before Schindler's humble courage. In 1993, Steven Spielberg adapted the novel by Thomas Kenelly into a film, which became one of the most significant works of world cinema and was awarded seven Academy Awards.</p>
