Tsar-Fish

Viktor Petrovich Astafyev — a classic of Russian prose of the 20th century, laureate of two State Prizes of the USSR, the independent Triumph Prize, the State Prize of Russia, and others. He received his first award in 1978 for his narrative in the stories "Tsar-Fish". This book, which underwent severe censorship and harsh criticism, brought the author nationwide recognition and remains one of the favorites for admirers of Russian literature to this day.
