A Year in Provence

One fine day, an English couple did what many dream of but do not dare: disregarding all the arguments of prudence, they bought an old farmhouse in the south of France and began a completely new life, full of gastronomic delights, unexpected discoveries, and amusing adventures. The first year spent in Provence was so rich in vivid impressions that it inspired Peter Mayle to create a book that instantly became an international bestseller.

"A Year in Provence" is still considered the best travel book about France, it has been adapted for television and brought its author recognition from the French Republic, which made Peter Mayle a knight of the Order of the Legion of Honor.
