My twenty-five years in Provence

Where else does the sun shine three hundred days a year? Where else will you find real rosé, sometimes with the aroma of grapes, sometimes dry — this taste of summer in your glass?

Where else does goat cheese become a work of art?

And where else do so many friendly people with a calm disposition live, who lead a measured life and are devoid of the modern habit of being anxious and always rushing somewhere?

The list is endless, but the answer is one — of course in Provence.

This is believed not only by the Provencals themselves, but also by Peter Mayle, the author of famous books about this paradise on the southern edge of France, where he spent the last twenty-five years of his life, generously sharing his love for Provence with millions of readers around the world.
