The Tale of a Real Man

One of the best and most popular works about the Great Patriotic War. A book that has been reissued more than eighty times in Russian and 39 times abroad.
The story of pilot Alexei Maresyev (in the book, his last name is changed to "Meresev"), who was shot down in battle with the fascists, suffered severe injuries, endured the amputation of both legs, and nevertheless found the strength to overcome the consequences of the operation and return to duty will never lose its relevance. After all, it is about human courage and perseverance, the ability to fight against difficulties and win, no matter how insurmountable they may be.
