Deniska's Stories

Viktor Dragunsky (1913-1972) entered children's literature quite late, after the age of forty. His "Deniska's Stories" naturally caused a storm of indignation among literary officials, and, of course, won the hearts of schoolchildren and their parents in just a minute, as soon as the first book of the cycle "The Secret of the Baby Stroller" with illustrations by V. Chizhikov was published.
Since then, Deniska Korablyov has become one of the most beloved characters of young readers. His spontaneity, kindness, thirst for justice, and ability to laugh at himself - these true masculine qualities invariably attract boys and girls, who read again and again about the adventures of their restless peer. The edition is dedicated to the 105th anniversary of V. Yu. Dragunsky.
The artist is the honored artist of the Russian Federation V. N. Losin.
