Life on Loan to Death

Lisa finds a deceased German tourist, who was her ward, and from that moment on, ordinary everyday worries give way to real danger. While the investigation is underway, the girl notices that her best friend is hiding the truth, strange changes are happening at home, and people and circumstances from the family’s past emerge that no one had spoken about before. The crime gradually leads to a story from the war years, connected to Grodno and the fates of people whose past has not remained in the past. The heroine has to simultaneously make sense of what is happening, the behavior of her loved ones, and why an old story is so persistently intruding into the present.
