Jack, Who Built the House

The action of Elena Katishonok's new family saga takes place in the author's familiar city, from which it extends to different corners of the world. The New World — a new era — and the attempts of the characters to find their place here. In the family, each one solves this task, enclosed in their own solitude. One is immersed in work, the other in the past; emigration not only brings people together but also divides them. When people part, only true friendships remain and are carefully nurtured. Yan Bogorad, in the new country, tries to "find himself without losing himself." He visits a new friend and finds... his destiny. This meeting could have happened fifteen years ago, but ahead lies a whole life, the happiness of today.
