Forgive or Kill?

Did you know that every third woman and every fourth man suffers from abuse by their partner?

This terrifying statistic has to be verified by several residents of the affluent suburb of Meadowdale through their own experiences. Each has her own story, but they all share a common woe: tyrannical husbands. It is impossible to protect oneself from them, and attempts to escape only lead to new brutal reprisals. It seems there is no way out, but suddenly, the cruel husbands begin to be killed one by one. The police refer to the mysterious criminal as the Avenger of the Heartless: after shooting the victim, he places the deceased's hands on their chest as if they are asking for forgiveness.

Who is avenging the unfortunate women?
