The Names of Felisa

A brilliant novel based on the true biography of an artist. Felisa Burshtyn – a Colombian sculptor of world renown, a participant in Colombia's artistic life, a friend of the writer Gabriel Garcia Marquez. Her biography is full of vivid and dramatic events. She married young, gave birth to three daughters, but after a sudden divorce, her husband took them from her.

Her creativity brought her immense joy, but in return, it demanded a high price from her. Felisa always loved Colombia, but due to political persecution, she was forced to flee the country and died in Paris at the age of forty-eight.

It seems that Felisa's life is all on the surface, nevertheless, Vasquez wrote a true investigative novel, reconstructing, and at times completing, the secret life of a woman fiercely defending her right to remain free and engage in creativity.
