Children in Rus

How did children live in Rus? What rituals accompanied them from birth? How did the daily lives of peasant and noble children differ?

The book will tell you about childhood in Rus—from baptism and the tonsure to games and serious responsibilities in the family. You will learn what entertained the little ones and what boys and girls were taught. And also—what games they played, what they made toys from, and what dolls they carefully kept behind icons.
