Geopolitics and Energy

The book examines the geopolitical reasons and consequences of the transformation of the global energy landscape. It emphasizes the energetic underpinnings of several significant geopolitical confrontations and military conflicts of the 20th and 21st centuries. Completed, current, and prospective projects of international cooperation by Russia in the fuel and energy complex are reviewed as an experience in implementing "soft power" to promote its own geopolitical interests.
