War of Intelligence. Secret Operations of the German Special Services

The memoirs of Reinhard Gehlen — an officer of the intelligence service of the Hitler army during World War II and the creator of a secret intelligence organization in the Federal Republic of Germany — allow the reader to view historical events of the 1940s-1960s as if from the opposite side of the front — military and ideological — and from behind the Iron Curtain.

This is both a reliable historical document and a fascinating story about what was hidden behind dry military reports and official German propaganda.

The book is characterized by impartiality and accuracy of assessments.
