Notes on Sherlock Holmes

Gift illustrated edition.

«Notes on Sherlock Holmes» — a collection of stories about the famous detective and his friend Dr. Watson, which was published as a separate book in 1894 at the initiative of George Newnes — the publisher of the monthly illustrated British magazine «Strand Magazine». Like the first stories about Holmes, the stories in «Notes» were illustrated by the artist Sidney Paget. In domestic publications, the collection previously contained only eleven stories. This edition fully corresponds to the English original, which included a dozen stories.
