Notes of a Moscow Mistress

What would you go through for a better life? For a dream? What if your closest ones are in dire need of help?

Marta is an ordinary student at the philology department, her thoughts occupied with the differences between Dostoevsky's creativity and that of other writers, as well as the upcoming exam in ancient literature. But everything changes when her mother loses her job. The mortgage and the upkeep of the family fall on the girl's shoulders. She was ready to drop out of school for a job, but her best friend Alice introduces Marta to the world of modeling, with the intention of connecting her with a interested sponsor. But what will happen when the golden cage shuts?

“A sparkling book about the everyday lives of mistresses. Stories that you are unlikely to hear anywhere else. It excites! It makes you laugh, cry, and sometimes freeze in surprise: ‘Does this really happen?’ It helps to look at your life from the outside and start appreciating it even more.” — Larisa Parfentieva, Writer
