Decameron

Fleeing from the plague that claimed half of Italy's population, three young men and seven young women go to a country estate. There, over the course of ten days, they tell each other stories that celebrate life in all its manifestations: from beautiful and sublime to base and terrifying. The collection of novellas "Decameron" became one of the main works of the Renaissance. In our edition – the classic translation by the outstanding philologist, Academician A. N. Veselovsky.
