Quiet Don (in 2 volumes)

The action of the novel “Quiet Don” begins in the last pre-war days of the Cossack settlement. Soon, peaceful life will remain in the past: it will be destroyed by a battle with an external, foreign enemy - in World War I, and then with his own neighbors, relatives, former friends - in the Civil War. The main character of the novel, Grigory Melekhov, was preparing himself for a peaceful family life and work, but fate pulls him away from home and throws him into a whirlpool of tragic events. He spends many years on the front lines, trying to find meaning and purpose in everything that is happening, - but he cannot find his place on anyone's side. In this divided world, there are no right sides. The meaning of life is preserved in relatives and loved ones, held in the piercing love story of Grigory, but fate takes away his dearest people one by one.

The main epic of the 20th century is published with illustrations by Yuri Rebrov.
