On Christian Life

This book includes N.V. Gogol's reflections on how a Christian should build their life based on the evangelical commandments. It features excerpts from Gogol's letters and his works "Selected Places from Correspondence with Friends", "Author's Confession", and "Rules". In addition, the book includes Gogol's work "Life", chapter "Bright Sunday" (from the book "Selected Places from Correspondence with Friends") and prayers written by Gogol. The wise thoughts of Gogol gathered in the book are united by the central idea of the writer: it is not enough to profess the Christian faith in words - one must embody it in life. It is not enough to simply be baptized and pray - one must live as a Christian. The book is intended for a wide range of readers.
