Humus

The best novel about earthworms that you have ever read. Two graduates of an agronomy academy try to change a world spoiled by human presence. Arthur goes to Normandy to restore a plot of land inherited from him. Kevin conquers Paris and creates a waste recycling startup. In earthworms, everyone sees something of their own – either the last chance to save the planet or a way to get ahead and become rich. The book by French writer and philosopher Gaspar König is a dynamic and caustic novel about lost illusions and the ecological crisis.
Winner of the French literary prize "Interallié", the Transfuge prize, and the Grand Prize of Jean Giono, finalist for the Goncourt Prize.
