Tabletop Game - Oath. Chronicles of Conquests and Exiles
What is this game "Oath" about – it is a game about history and the past. It is a game about what has long been forgotten, about those who were once left behind and the change of power that has shifted through time from one layer of society to another. Each game is an attempt to change the fates of local lands. Your strategy will directly depend on your personal interests and will definitely influence the further development of the plot. There are two types of players in the game: Exiles. They will have to start their struggle against their fate alone. A small number of resources, but a large number of opportunities, will allow them to challenge the local chancellor and attempt to completely dismantle the old order. A bright future is just around the corner. Exiles can also become citizens, but it is not easy to do so. First, they need to obtain citizenship from the chancellor; Citizens, on the other hand, strive to protect the status quo of their chancellor. Essentially, citizens share equally the total number of tokens of their type and gain victory points during the game simultaneously. However, they must also pursue personal interests to increase their prestige in the local court. The game also includes the role of the chancellor, which is awarded to the player who won the previous gaming session. If the chancellor finishes the game with the highest number of victory points in prestige, they win the game once again. The chancellor has special powers. One of the most important is granting citizenship to exiles, which critically changes the game balance, goals, and objectives of other players. For instance, exiles who receive citizenship are obliged to help the chancellor fulfill the oath given to them before the people.
