Cranes

"When the harvest was gathered from the fields, the fields became wider and brighter than before, the horizon receded somewhere into the distance.

And over this expanse and gold, the triangles of cranes appeared…

We ran out of our houses, dashed to the outskirts, and shouted after the cranes…"

Together with the writer Alexander Yashin, the artist Pyotr Bagin recalls the cranes of his childhood: his crane flock flies from page to page, "flying further and further under the clear sun of the native land, flying along the way-road…"
