On a Sailing Ship from Europe to India and Back

1593. The King of Portugal appoints you as the captain of a fleet of trading ships heading to India to bring back pepper, spices, silk, and other goods that can be sold in Europe for a huge profit. Such a mission is a great honor, but the journey to the eastern colonies is long and dangerous. You and your crew must travel thousands of kilometers on a sailing ship through storms and tempests, cross two oceans, procure the necessary goods, and deliver them to the king. This is a very challenging task that requires exceptional skill from the captain.

You will learn:

How to chart a sea route from Europe to India and back, and what dangers await sailors on this path.

How to operate a sailing ship and determine its location in open sea.

What and whom to take with you on a long sea voyage to cross two oceans, reach your destination, and safely return home.

How to organize the life and routine of several hundred people on board during a multi-month journey.

And much, much more…
