They were brought together by chance, a strange incident that could have become a tragedy, but fortunately, everything ended well. Holly Thorn, a talented journalist, witnesses an unknown man, who seems to have appeared out of nowhere, pulling a schoolboy from under the wheels of a car — at the last moment, when the boy's death seemed inevitable. Her journalistic intuition tells her: here he is, the hero who will launch her career to professional heights. But everything turns out differently. Jim Ironheart, who saved the boy, possesses a remarkable trait — inside him exists something that compels Jim to drop everything and go, fly, run, to save a person. Whether it’s a child or an adult — it doesn’t matter. He cannot resist; the force that drives him is beyond his will and reason. Jim does not understand its nature; he is overwhelmed, confused, he is morally exhausted. And over time, Holly realizes that the goal of her life is not professional growth; her goal is to save a person. Save him from himself.
