Snow, Dog, Leg

In a high mountain valley lives a grim old man. Adelmo Farandola is used to solitude. Nothing can disrupt the rhythm of his uncomplicated life. But the old man's memory begins to fail him, and he finds himself trapped in his own hallucinations. One day, an old dog comes to him, bothering him with questions. And a leg emerges from beneath the snow, ready to tell its story. Did he commit a crime that he has forgotten?
Claudio Morandini has created a phantasmagorical book about loneliness, life, and death. It is a story about how a person tries to protect themselves from a harsh world, yet still plunges their consciousness into chaos. Realistic descriptions are interspersed with dialogues filled with irony and grotesque. In an instant, the author shifts registers, allowing the reader to decide for themselves whether to believe in this plausibly implausible tale.
