Historical Chronicles

You can reign, but not rule. To wear a crown, and it will be like a crown of thorns. To give your heart to power, not to love. The immortal plays "Macbeth," "King Lear," and "Antony and Cleopatra" showcase all facets of human triumph and madness. In Scotland, such a familiar struggle for the throne unfolds. It will end bloody and cruel, just as Macbeth will become an example of the meaninglessness of evil. In Britain, the old king loses strength and power. He will forget that it is not worth believing words, one should only look at actions. In Alexandria, the great queen lays the whole world at the feet of her love. Cleopatra experiences all the bitterness of loss and all the sweetness of peace, meeting death as befits a true ruler. The plays of William Shakespeare will always be relevant, as they touch the brightest and darkest corners of our souls.
