The Third Reich

The leadership of the Third Reich unleashed one of the bloodiest wars in human history – World War II. The Nazis exterminated 6 million Jews, and millions of civilians in Europe perished, along with tens of millions of military personnel. More than 60 million people died worldwide as a result of the war. Hundreds of cities and tens of thousands of villages were destroyed across Europe and Asia. What else did the Third Reich leave behind in history? The strategic highways built by Hitler – the autobahns, as well as the car brand "Volkswagen," named after the factory created during Hitler's rule for the production of a cheap "people's car." The Wehrmacht – one of the best armies in the world – ceased to exist with the capitulation of Germany, unlike the autobahns and the "people's car." The history of the Third Reich is a warning to humanity of what must never happen again.
