About the book:
Shocking and true, the long-awaited book "Babiy Wind" is a story about a Woman and Love. Behind the main character is a Soviet childhood, years of piloting a hot air balloon, and a huge personal loss. Now Galina is forced to work as a cosmetologist in New York, where she encounters a variety of people, often crippled physically and emotionally.
Quote:
“This novella, which contains not a single swear word, should be rated 18+, or better yet, 40+… — because everything in it is so exposed and defenseless, cynical and painfully intimate, that in many scenes the color of shame floods the face and splashes in the heart — a bewildered human heart that, in all times, bravely and stubbornly dreams of only one thing: love…” — D. Rubina
