The Collection of Russian Painting. Pavel and Sergey Tretyakov

The album is dedicated to the collection of Russian painting by Pavel and Sergey Tretyakov - a unique phenomenon in the national culture of Russia. The Tretyakov collection reflects all the major milestones in the history of Russian painting: from the earliest iconographic examples to the art of the 18th century, from the ecstatic canvases of Romantic painters to the realistically accurate paintings of the Wanderers and the works imbued with high spiritual strength by artists of the late 19th century.
