Poems

«What freedom, what wonderful daring, what precision and accuracy in everything, and what an extraordinary people's soldier's language — no flaws, no roughness, no single false word!» — wrote I. A. Bunin about the poem «Vasily Terkin» by Alexander Tvardovsky — an outstanding Russian poet with a dramatic fate. The poem «Vasily Terkin» became one of the peaks of the poet's creativity, in which the people's soul came to life in all its fullness. This book allows the reader to touch the living Russian word and walk together with Tvardovsky's lyrical hero along the roads of war. In addition to the legendary «Vasily Terkin», the collection includes selected poems of the poet.
