Private detective Garrett has unraveled many mysterious crimes in the city of Tanfer, the capital of the kingdom of Karenta, where, besides humans, elves, dwarfs, goblins, vampires, sorcerers, and various others reside. He longs to settle down, to live a serene life, but fate doesn’t seem to wish that for him. In the novel "Gilded Brass Bones," the former scourge of paranormal crime faces a choice: to track down the villains who tried to abduct his beloved woman and attacked his best friend, or to leave it to the police. He might prefer the latter option, but the case doesn't look easy to solve at all. And what to do about the fact that the head of the Tanfer mafia, Belinda Contagyu, has already begun a parallel investigation? In the novel "Treacherous Bronze Vanity," Garrett is preparing for a wedding with a wealthy beauty endowed with magical abilities. But along with his beloved, he must also accept her family: a sarcastic underage daughter, a strange father, and a monstrous grandmother known throughout Tanfer as the Shadow Thrower. This means that against his will, Garrett must participate in the Sword Tournament, where mages fight — until only one remains alive.
