Who does not know Ion Tikhiy – the tireless wanderer among the stars, researcher and naturalist, a regular participant in many congresses and symposiums, the best friend and companion of Professor Tarantoga himself? The chronicler and storyteller, whose name stands alongside such great names as Lemuel Gulliver, Master Alcofribas Nasye, Baron Karl Friedrich Hieronymus von Münchhausen, and Pavel Masloboynikov! About his adventures, the entire inhabited cosmos buzzes – from microcephals from Macrourope to eelworms from Enteroptosis, from nosed aborigines of Satellina to wheel astronomers of Prokitia. Interplanetary ships are named after him, and his contribution to science and culture, although it is questioned by some ill-wishers, is truly priceless, and in his most fascinating “Diaries,” one can find everything possible: from mysterious sepulchres from Enteropia to the rare eye-speckled outcast from Mersituri. There is not the slightest doubt that familiarizing oneself with the vicissitudes of life and adventures of this most deserving representative of modernity will serve the cause of educating an enlightened and intelligent generation and will benefit every thinking being.
