At the Bottom. Dacha Dwellers

The book includes the plays of the great Russian playwright and writer Maxim Gorky "At the Bottom" and "Dacha Dwellers." They feature completely new themes of human dignity, sharp notes of protest against the humiliation of man and social injustice, and finally, they affirm faith in a bright future that will inevitably come if humanity resolutely and consistently strives for the change of established orders. Orders that allow some to live easily and carefreely in luxury without working and without knowing pangs of conscience, while others — the mass of workers — are doomed to poverty, backbreaking labor, and powerlessness. For older school age.
