This is a clinic. Patients and mental disorders that are often kept silent

Every third Russian has signs of mental health disorders. Approximately 3–6% of the population needs psychiatric help. If there are so many people, why are mental illnesses still considered something strange, frightening, shameful, and even repugnant? The author of this book, medical psychologist Anna Pozharskaya, believes that it is because we know too little about this issue. You will read real stories of inhabitants of psychiatric hospitals to learn how psychiatric care is organized in Russia and how patients with post-traumatic stress disorder, schizophrenia, depression, anxiety, and other mental illnesses live. This knowledge will help you get rid of the prejudices associated with psychiatry and change your attitude towards people with mental illnesses.
