In a small valley on a green meadow stands an amazing house, painted blue. In this house lives a family of Moomintrolls: Moominmama, Moominpapa, and the Moomintroll himself. And if one fine day a large company shows up at the door, there will be room for everyone here. In fact, there is a lot of incomprehensible and dangerous stuff around — natural disasters, magical hats, ant lions… But the Moomintrolls, Snorks, Sniff, Snusmumrik, and their friends are not scared at all. They travel, ponder the necessity and unnecessary nature of everything, write books, and search for treasures. After all, whatever adventures await the Moomintroll and his friends, they know: even if a comet falls into their valley, even if a flood occurs or a storm starts, the forest, garden, and house will remain in place. On the veranda, one can always have a cup of coffee and enjoy cookies or a cake baked by Moominmama… Dad and Mom will sort everything out, just need to get back home in time!..
Today, Moomintrolls are undoubtedly considered some of the most popular fairy-tale characters of the 20th century. And this is not surprising. Charming in their oddity, resembling plush toys, kind and always ready to help, these creatures have captured the hearts of anyone who dared to get to know them better. The inhabitants of Moominvalley have become so beloved worldwide that books about them have been translated into more than 50 languages, and the number of animated films made has already exceeded ten. A museum and two theme parks have also been opened in their honor.
