10+ years: adding fractions

“Delicious” introduces children to the world of fractions and teaches them to easily perform various operations with fractional numbers: adding, reducing, and finding a common denominator. All these operations are conducted using appetizing slices of pizza with different ingredients, which is why the game is so loved by children and parents!

Pizza — the best visual aid for studying fractions

Traditional Italian pizza is divided into 8 sectors. It is very convenient to explain what parts and fractions are using its example. Children can see how whole numbers or other fractions are formed from fractions, helping them quickly and easily get accustomed to the complex world of fractional numbers and learn to easily add and reduce them!

Difficulty increases with preparation level

At the beginning level of the game, children from 6 years old only get acquainted with simple fractions: 1/2 and 1/4 and 3/4. Later, more complex fractions, such as 3/8 and 5/8, appear in the game. Older kids (8-10 years) learn to perform complex operations with fractions: addition, reduction, finding a common denominator. As a result, the child understands that 4/8 is 1/2, and 1/8 + 5/8 is 3/4.

Dividing and adding in the pizzeria “Delicious”!

For the game with children from six years old, only round cards are used.

Each player takes three cards, and the same number of cards are laid out on the table, all cards are placed face up.
The player's task is to assemble a pizza from several cards on the playing field that is equal in the number of slices to one of their pizzas. Or, conversely, choose one pizza on the playing field and assemble it from their cards.
The player who collects the maximum number of pizzas during the game wins!

In the game variants for ages 8 and 10, rectangular cards with orders must be used. The player's task is to assemble an order from the pizzas available on the playing field, considering not only their size but also the ingredients. The game adds excitement with several special cards that allow you to slow down your competitors, as well as speed up yourself by fulfilling "urgent" orders.
