Citizen of the Galaxy. Martian Podkейн

It has long been undisputed that the author of the cult book «Stranger in a Strange Land», a staple for the generation of «flower children» and a symbol of the emerging counterculture, the famous novel «Door into Summer», which has secured its place in great literature alongside «Dandelion Wine» by Ray Bradbury and «Flowers for Algernon» by Daniel Keyes, has stepped beyond the narrow confines of genre and become a writer of universal significance. The novel «Citizen of the Galaxy», which opens this book, tells the story of Torby, an Earth boy, who was abducted by space slave traders in early childhood but broke free from his chains and forged a path to the stars. In the second novel, «Martian Podkейн», the story of Podkейн Fryz, a citizen of the Martian Republic, is told, a girl who set off with her brother Clark and uncle Tom on a journey to Earth via transit through Venus.
