The long-awaited graphic novel by the cult Italian artist Jessica Choffi, known by the pseudonym Loputyn.
The first book of the saga "Cotton Tales" is an incredibly beautiful comic that immerses the reader in the mystical atmosphere of 19th century England and the unpredictable surrealism of "Alice in Wonderland." Loputyn's book resembles English Gothic novels, and the characters are porcelain dolls, within each of which lives light and darkness.
After losing his memory from a fall off a horse, Nicholas feels like a stranger at the Moran villa. The young man does not recognize either the luxurious estate in which he has awakened, nor the arrogant butler, nor his father, who sometimes seems to Nicholas not quite human.
Instead, he keeps imagining various things: fluffy white rabbits, terrifying masks on people's faces, the ghost of a girl residing in the tower who for some reason dislikes him. Is it really just simple amnesia, or do the walls of the estate hold secrets better left undisclosed? Fear pervades everyone in the house, but perhaps evil is not what you see, but yourself?
Elegant colored illustrations in the style of the nineteenth century, thick coated paper, and an intriguing mystical story make for the perfect gift for fans of the atmosphere of Victorian England, manga, and comics.
Welcome to the enchanting world of Loputyn!
