Golden Childhood

The collection includes the best stories by Teffi about children of different ages - the very young, just beginning to discover the world, about gymnasium students, about teenagers peering into adulthood. The texts follow one another as the heroes grow up.

Fyodor Sologub, determining Teffi's metaphysical age, called her thirteen. And indeed: she remains true to the child's worldview. The story is always narrated as it is understood by the child themselves. The animation of the surrounding world, the inseparability of reality and wonder, immediacy, play - all of this is conveyed by Teffi with humor, warmth, and always with love for her hero - "little friend".

The book is accompanied by illustrations by Victoria Kirdiy.
