The Kingdom of Women.

An intriguing book by the Polish writer and historian of the late 19th - early 20th century Kazimir Walishiewski. The novel covers a vast historical period from the reign of Catherine the First and Anna Ioannovna to Elizabeth Petrovna, presenting a familiar story in a completely different light.

«The Kingdom of Women» will reveal the incredible phenomenon of female rule in the Russian Empire. A remarkable time when the country itself established this governance, and favoritism became the driving force of court politics.

A magnificent work, based on a large number of historical sources, reads like an engaging novel. It consists of three fundamental parts:

«Woman and Grandson»

«Anna the First»

«Two Reigns».
