The continuation of the story about the cheerful Pollyanna, who invented the "glad game" and infected an entire town with optimism. And even now, when the girl is already 17, she continues to play the glad game. How could it be otherwise? Life throws up new questions and problems. So, Pollyanna has recovered, she is walking again, and she has grown up, but she is still the same Pollyanna. She has traveled and is finally returning to her aunt's house: The first few days after returning to Beldingsville were not easy for either Mrs. Chilton or Pollyanna. After freely managing her own time, it is hard to get used to having an urgent task in front of you at all times, urgently demanding resolution. Moreover, friends and neighbors kept dropping by. Pollyanna saw Jimmy Pendleton several times in that first month. At first, he came with John Pendleton, and everyone was quite stiff and formal - not in the first moments, however, but only after Aunt Polly walked into the room.
