Tomorrow Was War

The last pre-war autumn – 1940. Ninth graders. The first generation to grow up after the revolution and the Civil War… They were able to become people – with their own feelings, thoughts, and conscience. This is precisely what the poignant novella by the classic of domestic literature B.L. Vasilyev is about. War was waiting for them beyond the school door, but the most terrible war – for their souls – had been going on for a long time… However, the heroes of the novella stood firm. They managed to extend a hand to a comrade in trouble, and they, these yesterday's children, met the cruel enemy who had come to their country with dignity. For senior school age.
