Pragmatics of Folklore

The book Pragmatics of Folklore is a scientific study of folklore as a special form of oral speech, through which a certain order of life is established and maintained. The material for the study consisted of field recordings of spells and magical practices, the tradition of commemorative rituals, as well as ditties, made during folklore expeditions in the 1980s — early 2000s in the Vologda region.
