Graphic adaptation of Mary Shelley's "Frankenstein"
Dr. Frankenstein dreamed of transcending life and overcoming death, but he paid a cruel price for his recklessness. The tragic story of the Prometheus of the 19th century and the monster he created has become an iconic plot in world literature, revisited by modern authors and artists again and again. Georges Bess, a true master of black-and-white graphics, vividly conveys the drama of the famous story and draws the reader into its gothic world, raising once more the question of human essence, the limits of its possibilities, and contemplating the consequences of playing with nature.
Georges Bess is a cult artist of the European comic revival of the 1970s and 1980s, famous for his collaborations with the renowned screenwriter and director Alejandro Jodorowsky.
